Organise an Event
Organising an event may seem like a daunting task but it can make a massive difference to Kipawa and help scores of families in Kenya. There are so many different ways to raise money. For example:
If you have set yourself a challenge to run your first marathon (or 5k) or to climb a Munro or skydive or walk the West Highland Way, perhaps you could consider asking your friends and family for sponsorship for Kipawa?
Or perhaps you could invite your friends to your house for a coffee morning and ask for a small donation, and maybe run a raffle too? Or have a dinner party where your guests make a donation equivalent to what they would have paid for a meal in a restaurant?
Or your children (along with their school class or Brownie pack or playgroup) might like to do a sponsored silence or a car wash in their street or play 'guess the number of sweets in the jar'?
At work, if your workplace is organising a team-building event, could it include a fundraising element or would your colleagues help you run a cake stall one lunchtime?
Are you connected to a school or youth group or church or business looking for a charity to support?
There are loads of possibilities - as big or as small as your time commitment allows. And we would be more than happy to provide advice and support if required.
